The Whitaker family ( which includes my uncle and his family) own a jewelry store in Florida. We go to a show twice a year and this time it was in Washington, DC.... actually we stayed in Maryland. We left on Friday and stopped in NC to visit a dear friend who had cancer ( She has now gone to be with Jesus). Arriving on Saturday, there were business classes we had to attend. But Sunday afternoon was our sight-seeing day and we walked alot!!!!! Some of the things we did and saw were: The Air and Space Museum, The Capitol, The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument, The WWII Memorial, The Vietnam Memorial, and the Korean Memorial.

On the way home, we stopped to visit my great-grandmother who just turned 96! Then we visited the Allen family in Columbia, SC. Daddy went to school with the father in the 1st-3rd grade.
Ah...it is good to be HOME!
